O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name!
1 Chronicles 29:13 (NLT)
LORD, a song has been resonating in my spirit this morning, its lyrics setting the tone for my day: “Thank You for all that You’ve done thus far. Thank You for being the God that You are. Thank You for food on my table, I know You’re able. I wanna say, ‘Thank You!’” Indeed, that is where I am this Friday morning, singing Your praises and thanking You for all that You’ve done!
LORD, if You never do another thing else for me, You have done enough. You have provided for me, ensuring that I have food and shelter. My stomach is satisfied and I have a place to lay my head down. This is because You care for me.
You have surrounded me with folks who walk on this journey of life with me. With them You give me a tangible reminder that I am never alone, especially when their words and kindness remind me that You see and hear me. In their embrace I experience Your embrace. And even when they are not present You give me spiritual “nudges” reminding me You are right here.
But most important of all, You have given me Your Son, my Savior, to not only pay the price for my sins (which would have been enough), but to redeem me to Yourself, ushering me into the family of God. Through Him I am Yours and You are mine, saved and sealed for that day when I will forever be in Your presence! Hallelujah!
LORD, David, looking at the provision that You made for the temple, was moved to praise and worship You for the glorious things You had done. I, looking at what You have done in my life, am moved in the same way. As I survey the true overflow and abundance with which You have poured into my life, I can only exclaim, “O God, I thank You and praise Your glorious Name!” And not just because of the worldly, tangible things You have done. But because of the glorious and eternal blessings You have bestowed upon me. You are a great and awesome God! There is none like You!
So, Thank You, Master, for Your unfailing love! I glorify and magnify You, Father God! I worship and adore You, Lord Jesus! I praise You and cling to You, Precious Holy Spirit! My Lord, and my God, be exalted this day! Thank You, Father! Thank You, Son! Thank You, Holy Spirit! Amen!
