And Judah said to Simeon his brother, “Come up with me into the territory allotted to me, that we may fight against the Canaanites. And I likewise will go with you into the territory allotted to you.” So Simeon went with him.

Judges 1:3

Lord, I am grateful this morning that You never leave me alone. You always reserve for me someone who has my back, who is willing to hold me up and help me do battle against that which I am fighting with. Master, there is something about these friendships that I cannot fully put to words, how they help me as I navigate through the hardships. Indeed, through them I am made stronger by their commitment to me and You. You use them to remind me that You have not forgotten me and will not fall short of Your promises. Their presence parallels Your presence. Their ability to hold me up imitates and reflects Your ability to hold me up. They are indeed evidence of Your working in my life! Today, help me to be the same to them. Help me to be Your fingerprints in their lives, reminding them that You not only love them, but that You shall never forsake them. Thank you, Lord, for being there always. Amen.
