“Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation. ”

Lord Jesus, years ago I said I will serve You. I fell in love with You, hearing truly for the first time a gospel message I grew up hearing from the lips of my parents and grandparents. But little did I know that You had declared Your own “I wills” concerning me and that they would hold, protect, and seal me.
Because I love You, You said:
- “I will rescue him.” How many times have You gotten me out of jams of my own making, delivered me from tough situations and provided for me a way of escape? Too numerous to count!
- “I will protect him.” How many times have I been shielded from hurt, harm and danger on the roads, have I missed injury, been minutes away from dire circumstances? You have been my shield!
- “I will answer him.” How many times have I prayed for guidance and direction, relief and remedy, provision and protection, and You showed up in awesome and mysterious ways? I know You hear me!
- “I will be with him in trouble.” How many times have I felt the pressures of life only to sense Your presence and peace? And it was then that You reminded me,
- “I will deliver him and honor him.” You got me out of those fixes, where I have been in over my head, and gotten me through unscathed and held me up. What a Mighty God You are!
- “I will satisfy him with long life and show my salvation.” This is the crowning blessing of them all. To see Your hand at work in my life, in the good and the bad, the little and the great, and to not only revel in Your wonders but also to be know that this is but a foretaste! I am signed and sealed for that day when I will see You face-to-face! What a joy!
So today, I thank You because my soul knows from both heart belief and personal experience that if You said it, it is so. And You have said I am Yours and I will spend eternity with You. Thank You, LORD, for Your “I wills” in my life. I praise You and worship You today, for You are indeed GREAT! Glory to Your Name, Jesus!
