Blessed be the LORD! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy.

Psalms 28:6

Blessed Holy Spirit, to You I come today, asking that You take the pitter-patters of my heart, the disconnected cares and concerns that I often cannot put to words, and make sense of them before the Father. Even now, search my heart. Reveal to me and disclose to the Father what my deepest longings are, longings that I cannot even put to words (Romans 8:26-27).

As I move into this first day of the week I have no idea of what challenges and opportunities await me. But I know that You know, and that You are here guiding my path. And though my heart is somewhat filled with angst today, I find peace in knowing that You hear me and will provide me what I desperately stand in the need of in this hour.

So, starting this day off I fall at Your feet and worship You. I give You the praise due Your Name, thanking You for Your provision, both physical and spiritual, as well as resting peacefully in the knowledge that You see me, hear me, and will take care of me. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for being the type of God Who rolls up His sleeves and tends to the messy business of Your people. Thank You for Your tangible type of love. Amen.
