You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.

Good morning, Father. Thank You for reminding me that I don’t have to fight every battle that comes my way. I admit that there is something within me that believes I have to lean in and fix everything – make right what is wrong, set straight every crooked path, remedy every ill. Whether it is in my life or the lives of my friends and loved ones, there is this feeling that I have that I always have to be the one to rally the troops and take position and hold off the enemy.
Yet, my spirit can hear You reminding me today that I do not have to fight this battle. Your call to me is to stand firm, watch and wait. Even as Jahaziel told Jehoshaphat that the battle is not his but Yours, I hear You declaring the same to me. You have not called us to be “Mr. or Mrs. Fix It” but have called us to be Your children, trusting in Your deliverance, shining our lights and declaring Your goodness.
So, please continue to remind me that I don’t have to fight today. Remind me that I don’t have to get into debates with others, defend my positions, or protect what I believe is mine. Remind me that I have nothing to prove and nothing to defend. Instead, I just need to go out and face whatever comes my way and stand because You go out with me. Who I am and what I have is defined and declared by You. And for this, I rest in You and give You praise in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
