…he says: “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the preserved of Israel; I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

Isaiah 49:6

Lord, it amazes me how I limit what I believe You can do, often demonstrating by my actions that I probably believe that what I am going through is either too hard for You or You are not concerned about it. Yet, in Your awesomeness You seek to put on full display Your glory so that not only I but the world might know Who You are. I am glad this morning that You do not limit Yourself. You do not confine Yourself to the box that either I or others place on You, but instead go beyond, blowing my mind with Your glory, reminding me and everyone Who You are! These words today, “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob,” speaks volumes. It was not grand enough that Jesus should come to save the children of Israel. That is not a sacrifice worthy of a God like You. No. He had to come and save the world. And not just that, but even as Romans 8 tells us, He is redeeming all of creation! In Him there is a new heaven and new earth! My mind does not often pause to take in all of this wonder. Today, I do just that and thank You for not being a God of limitations but instead a God Who is limitless in His wonder! I worship You and fall before You in awe this day and applaud the many works that You are manifesting not just before my eyes but before this world! Hallelujah! I praise You Lord!
