The nations shall see your righteousness, and all the kings your glory, and you shall be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will give.

Isaiah 62:2

Lord, I know me and where I have been. I know my failings, sinfulness and brokenness. I can say with unquestionable surety that I am unworthy. Yet, You have set Your love upon me. You have seen me in my broken state, and before I even did anything to “clean myself up,” You drew me to You, and You cleaned me up. You saved me. You infused me with Your Spirit. You clothed me in Christ’s righteousness. You gave me a new name. This is all too wonderful for me! I confess I am not worthy and do not understand why You would love me so. Yet, my soul celebrates and thanks You this day and everyday! I am not worthy but I am grateful. Thank You for Your unmerited favor and unfailing love. Thank You for bestowing upon me grace and mercy, looking past how raggedy I am and seeing something in me worth saving. You have ascribed a value to me that I will never be able to fully comprehend. Help me to live my life today embracing this truth and savoring my relationship with You. Thank You for no longer calling me “outcast” but instead calling me Yours. Amen.
