Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.
Psalm 20:6-8
Father God, continue to remind me today to always look to You first for my deliverance. I know that as I navigate through the challenges that will confront me today that I may come up against what might appear to be insurmountable odds. I know that there may even be situations and circumstances that will hit me so hard that they will knock me off my feet. Individuals may rise up with an expressed desire to tear me down. In the midst of this onslaught, I know that I will be compelled to reach out to anyone who will hear my cry for help and lend a helping hand. Yet, only You can provide what I stand in the need of. I have learned that even though I might need others to lean in, calling upon them before I call upon You is a fruitless task. Only You can give me the words to say in the moment to appeal their their hearts in order to align them with me. Only You can raise up the right folks for the battle. And frankly, only You have been dependable despite the circumstances, Your faithfulness coming through in the clutch. You not only uphold me, but You also send Your ministering angels to support me. LORD, I look to You today. Be my rearguard and keeper. I trust in Your deliverance knowing that only You can vanquish the enemy. Demonstrate Yourself mighty in the eyes of all who look upon my adversity, that they might know that You are indeed Jehovah-Nissi! In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen!
