Then he assembled all Judah and Benjamin and the people from Ephraim, Manasseh and Simeon who had settled among them, for large numbers had come over to him from Israel when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
2 Chronicles 15:9 (NIV)
LORD God, let my life today be a gospel magnet drawing others into relationship with You. The greatest thing that can be said of me is that my life shows evidence that the LORD God is with me. I want it to be said of me that when I speak words of encouragement that individuals can feel You building them up; when I speak words of correction that they can hear You tugging at their hearts; that when I speak words of compassion that they experience You holding them close. It is my desire that when others see me that they see You in me. Not to give me any glory or distinction. Instead, so that their adoration may be poured out towards You for the things that You are doing in me. And that they can have a spirit of expectation, know that You are no respecter of persons.
So today I bow my heart to You, fall before Your throne, and ask that You fill me afresh with Your Spirit. Remove from me every selfish, self-seeking, carnal motivation and create in me a clean heart and renewed spirit. Forgive me for the ways in which I have fallen short and lead me in Your paths of righteousness. Purge from me every sin that pulls me away from You, and enable me to walk before You in holiness. You are my Father. Christ is my King. Your Spirit is my Teacher. I am Yours. Do with me as You see fit. Glorify Yourself in me and through me that Your Name might be praised and those afar off might come to You. I’m Yours, LORD. Have Your way in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
