For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you? For you are our glory and joy.
1 Thessalonians 2:19-20
Lord Jesus, thank You for the lives that You have allowed me to pour my life into. Demonstrating Your love in a tangible way in the lives of others brings me a sense of joy that is unspeakable. By Your Spirit You have enabled me to be a blessing to those I come into contact with. I am so grateful that You have allowed me to be Your voice, hands, and gift to others for I know that I am unworthy. Indeed, I know me, how broken I am on the inside. Yet, despite that You have taken this broken vessel and have used me to make a difference in the lives of my family, friends and associates. And in this work You have given me this deep, unexplainable sense of joy and peace. I never could have imagined how much joy I could get from sacrificing myself! I pray today that You would continue to remind me of this reality. When I am feeling alone and unappreciated, remind me that I am making a difference. When I am feeling as if no one cares, remind me that You care and that You are at work in me and through me. When I want to consume myself with myself remind me of these overwhelming feelings of joy and satisfaction that You give me when I make sure it is not about me. Master, thank you for the lives that You have allowed me to pour my life into! Thank You for using me to make a difference for them for they indeed are my glory and my joy! Look at You, my God! You are awesome! Thank You!
