Lord Jesus, Your fingerprints are all around me. Signs of Your presence in my life and the world are evident for all to see. What started with prophetic words in the Old Testament declared by prophets of old, was revealed with glory and splendor with Your arrival through the womb of a virgin by the power of the Holy Spirit! How a single star, one in a million across the vast array across the nightly sky, declared out the place where You were born still baffles the human mind. And yet, the wise men knew that this phenomenon was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the King. And they were willing to do anything to make that happen!
Today, as I witness the many signs of Your presence in my midst, grant me the same tenacious drive to see You and worship You. Fuel within me a Holy Spirit inspired drive not to settle for experiencing You at a distance or merely in the life of someone else. I want a fresh encounter with You! Like those wise men, I want to see You and worship You! Refresh my spirit with a divine hunger to be in Your midst not matter what it takes!
Lord, I am willing to go anywhere and endure anything to see You. I long to experience the joy and peace from being with You, the fullness of Your glory that comes from resting in Your presence. What hinders me today is self and flesh, both of which have been crucified with You! Open my eyes and my heart, Lord Jesus, so that I can experience the fullness of fellowship with You on this side of eternity, for You are my incarnate Savior and Lover of my soul! I know You are in my midst. As I usher my spirit to be calm and focused, visit me, Master, to Your glory. Amen.
