For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory…Christ is all, and in all.

Colossians 3:3-4, 11b

Lord Jesus, this morning that song rang in my spirit, “I don’t possess houses or land, fine clothes or jewelry. Sorrows or care in this whole word my life seems to me. But I have a Christ who paid the price way back on Calvary. Christ is all, all and all, this world to me. Christ is all, He’s everything to me. Christ is all, He rules the land and the sea. Christ is all, without Him nothing would be. Christ is all, all in all, this world to me!”

On this Christmas Day that song says it all. For me today is not about what I get or don’t get. It’s not about what I have or wish I had. It is about one thing and one thing alone: You in my life! All these other things mean nothing to me. Like Paul I count them as loss for the shear joy, pleasure, and peace in knowing You, that I am Yours, loved beyond measure, found in You (Philippians 3:7-8)! It is not about mistletoe, Yule time carols, lights and decorations. It is about a love so deep, so pure, and so eternal being demonstrated towards an unworthy lot (of which I am a part) that the Father would send You, His only Son, to give Your life for us, for me!

Thank You Father for giving me the greatest gift of all – Your Son, my Savior and Friend, Jesus! You saw me in my pitiful state, saw us, and so loved us that You gave Him, sealing the deal with sacrificing Him, that we might have life!

Thank You Jesus for doing for me what I dare say I would not do for myself, shedding Your glory and dying for me. My soul sings out in glorious testimony, “He left His mighty throne in glory, to bring to us redemption’s story, then He died but He rose again just for you and me, oh and I’m glad, I’m glad He did!”

Thank You Precious Holy Spirit for sealing the deal, drawing me to You, reminding me of the precious promises, and keeping me, filling me with hope and joy, reminding me of what Christmas is truly all about – everlasting love, joy and peace!

LORD God, I worship You this glorious day! You’re so marvelous! You’re so matchless! You are all that I need! Hallelujah! AMEN!
