But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:4-7
Oh, what manner of love that You have bestowed upon us that we should be called the children of God! And that is who we are! Father, my soul rejoices this day knowing who I am and Whose I am. You have saved me by pouring out Your grace and mercy into my life, filling me to overflowing with Your eternal kindness. You have given me not only the gift of eternal life, but also You have adopted me as a child in Your family! I would have been satisfied with being just a lowly servant. Yet, You have clothed me in familial robes, adorned me with divine jewelry, and seated me at the King’s table! I would have been content eating the scraps. Yet You have called me to the feast! This is what true love looks like! I thank You this morning for the great love with which You have loved me! I fall at Your feet this day declaring I am unworthy and unfit to be called Your child. Yet, You still welcome me in. My soul is overwhelmed. By Your grace Your prodigal is home. And I shall dwell in Your house forever! Thank You LORD! I praise and worship You this day. Amen!
