Father God, my soul gravitates to those words, “he has caused us to be born again.” In a world where I have been the primary cause of me getting what I got (whether good or bad), I find so much joy in knowing that YOU are the reason I am saved. As Titus 3:5 puts it, it is not by works of righteousness which I have done! This salvation I have is totally and completely a work of grace. I cannot understand or comprehend it. I just know that You did it and I’m glad about it! Help me today to walk in the light of that living hope. I want to model for all to see what it looks like to place all of one’s hopes and dreams in You. Use me, Lord, to draw others to Jesus Christ that they too might be born again. Help me to show them what true joy looks like. This joy You have given me goes beyond what I have in this world. As David put it, “You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.” (Psalm 4:7) It is, indeed, unspeakable! I praise and worship You this day! Be glorified in Jesus’ Name!
