Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:1

Father God, I want to thank You this morning for all the provisions You have made for me, Your undeserving child. Through Christ You have elevated me from the status of servant to family member (1 John 3:1-2), from lost to found (Luke 15:24), from far away to near (Ephesians 2:12-13). My soul rejoices in the privilege that I walk in through Jesus, knowing not only who I am, but more importantly, Whose I am! Glory to Your Name!

Today, I ask You to forgive me for being more upset by world news than I am at peace through the Good News. I can get so caught up in what is going on around me that I completely forget that this world is passing away (1 John 2:17) and is not my home (Hebrews 13:14). Remind me today to look for that glorious city where You reign eternal; where tears are wiped away, trouble becomes a thing of the distant past and everyday is Sunday! Hallelujah that sounds nice!

Until then, fill me with the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27), use me to shine my Savior’s light on this dark world (Matthew 5:16), and guide me in way that I should go, Your fingerprints reminding me that You are delighted with me (Psalm 37:23)!

I love You and so thank You for loving me first and more! Worthy is Your Name! Amen!
