Then Hannah prayed and said: “My heart rejoices in the LORD; in the LORD my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance.
1 Samuel 2:1
Father God, my soul rejoices this morning, knowing that You have given me the victory in every aspect of my life. When others deride me or criticize me, You have given me the affirmation that my soul needs, reminding me that You are the source of my strength. Though by the world’s standards I may look like I am losing, I have confidence in this: the good work You have begun in me YOU are able to complete! In areas where I have felt lack, You have filled my cup. When I have fallen short You have made up the difference. Though I have indeed not fully lived up to Your expectations, in Christ You have bridged the gap, in His perfection making up where I have been lacking. Those who have relegated me to the space of failure, I stand in Christ before them more than a conqueror! In You I boast, glorifying You for the the great work You have done in me! I take none of the credit. Remind me today that it is not by any works of righteousness that I have done, nor by the gifts and talents You have bestowed upon me, but it has all been by You! You have established me. Keep this reality ever before me that I might praise You in all I say in do in Jesus’ Name.
