You and the people with you will certainly wear yourselves out, for the thing is too heavy for you. You are not able to do it alone.

Father God, I am so happy today because You love me so much that You send to me individuals who will not only have the courage to challenge my thinking regarding the things I have put my heart to accomplishing, but will also depart to me wisdom on how I can get it done, lending a hand to me. I confess that many times I just try to go at it alone, thinking that either no one else will understand what needs to be done or others won’t want to assist in doing it. In some instances I know that I have thought to myself that I don’t need any help, I can take care of it by myself, that only I can get it done. And sadly, I have even been this way with things that only You can carry, believing that I need to be the one to do.
Yet, I know that is not true. I know that the weight is far too great for me to carry, and that I will wear myself out if I try to go at it alone. And it is You that brings me to my senses, sending me wise friends, family, and loved ones, who see me and are willing to take me to task. In their wisdom they show me the error in my thinking and point me to You and those You have raised up around me to help me carry the burden.
So thank You for giving me folks who love me enough to have the hard conversations with me. Thank You for exposing my weaknesses and deficiencies in the moment, showing me the areas where I cannot go at it alone. And, most of all, thank You for being with me and continually admonishing me to cast all of my burdens and cares upon You, reminding me that it is You that gives me the strength and ability to get it done. Therein is true success and to Your glory! Amen.
