Also henceforth I am he; there is none who can deliver from my hand; I work, and who can turn it back?”

Isaiah 43:13 (ESV)

Lord Jesus, thank You for reminding me that no matter how bad I am, that there is nothing I can do that will cause You to say You’re done with me! You have said it Yourself, though my sins be as scarlet You will make them whiter than snow (Isaiah 1:18)! As far as the east is from the west is how far You have separated me from my transgressions (Psalm 103:12)! And this is the result of Your finished work on the cross! Hallelujah!

This day I thank You for the very real reminder that my salvation is not the result of anything that I have done. Because I mess up so much, I quickly go to that place of thinking that there is no way that You can love a person like me. But You do. And my head quickly says I’ve done it this time. There is nothing way You can ever forgive me. But You have. Stupid me continues to mess up, each instance seemingly, in my eyes, worse than the last. Yet, You remind me that there is nothing that can take me out of Your hand. Nothing can separate me from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Hallelujah!

So today, as I walk with that freedom, keep me conscious of my sin so that I can quickly and continually rush to the foot of Your cross. Continue to remind me of my utter and dire need for You in all aspects of my life. Continue to show me my brokenness and frailty that I might willingly and regularly rush to Your side, remaining in Your presence, and walking in Your Spirit. Thank You for loving me in spite of me! I so love You! Amen!
