About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them…

Acts 16:25

Lord, remind me that there are eyes watching me as I go through. So often I believe that as I suffer in silence that I am going unnoticed, that only You see me. Yet, this morning my soul is reminded that there is always someone watching me as I am navigating through the challenges of life, their eyes peeled, observing how I am handling the difficulties. It is in those moments that my faith needs to shine through, that they need to know that I am not trusting in myself or man, but that I am looking to You. Help me to be that road sign pointing them to the eternal rest stop that is You for all weary travelers. As I am struggling with trials and tribulations, put a song on my heart and words in my mouth that might speak hope into the some onlooker’s situation. It is my prayer that I would be a greater testimony to Your goodness and mercy when I am suffering than when it appears that all is well in my life. Help me to show the world that You are the God of mercy and compassion, bringing relief to the weary and encouragement to the downcast soul. Use me, Lord, to point others to You, especially when life seems to be dealing me death blows. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
