Lord God, gratitude does not begin to express the depth of my appreciation for all You have done for me. The hymn writer longed when he declared, “Oh for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer’s praise!” That then would still leave me lacking!
What can be said about Your provision and protection? What can be highlighted about Your love and sacrifice? Your Word only scratches the surface pertaining to all the blessings You have bestowed upon us. John summed it up nicely when he declared, “Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.” (John 21:25) Indeed it could not! Every good thing that has happened in this world, in my life, has come from Your hands (James 1:17)! It is You that gives flowers their beauty and the birds their sustenance (Matthew 6:26-30). It is You that upholds the universe and sustains the Earth (Hebrews 1:3). But most importantly, through Christ Jesus, it is You that has given me, and all who call upon His Name, mercy, grace and life! Who would not praise a God like You and give thanks?
So, this day, I just lift up Your Name. Before all who come into my presence I purpose to let them know that I am Yours, You are God, and that there is no one like You. It is my desire to lay the palm branches of my praise at Your feet as Your process down the aisles of my heart and the hearts of those with whom I will engage today. Give me opportunities to boldly proclaim to all who will listen the wonders of Your love and this great salvation that You have made available to all. I praise and worship You this day and everyday, oh Thou Great Jehovah! You are El Shaddai! Great, indeed is the LORD, and greatly to be PRAISED! Hallelujah! Glory to Your Name! Thank You, Jesus! Worthy is the Lamb of God! We praise You, blessed Holy Spirit! There is NONE like YOU!
