Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness, when your fathers put me to the test and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work.
Psalm 95:7b-9
Speak, LORD, for Your servant is listening. I have seen Your glorious work in my life and the lives of others. I have witnessed first hand what You can do in the life of one who is fully committed to You. I have experienced Your deliverance out of the hands of my enemies, and Your shelter in the midst of physical and emotional storms. You have continually supplied my needs, producing life giving resources – mental, relational and spiritual – to enable me to rise above my circumstances and be the person You have called me to be in the moment. LORD, I have seen Your glorious work in my life and the lives of others. Today, I choose not to put You to the test, asking You to “prove Your love to me” by doing this or that in my life. You have nothing to prove to me. Instead, I come before You and ask that You would have Your way. No situation or circumstance can move me as long as I walk hand-in-hand with You. Please continue to tenderize my heart that I might be pliable to Your will. You are the Potter. I am the clay. You have a divine purpose for my life, and nothing comes my way except it first passes through Your hands. Therefore, where You lead I shall follow to Your glory in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
