Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning. As for me, I said in my prosperity, “I shall never be moved.” By your favor, O LORD, you made my mountain stand strong; you hid your face; I was dismayed.
Psalm 30:5-7
Lord, it is so easy to celebrate and find peace when things are going well. Yet, what about when they are going wrong? What about when I feel that You are so far from me? Can I stand up and declare that weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning? Can I, by faith, know that the mountain that I must overcome, though it may be overwhelming, was indeed placed there by You for Your glory and as a show of favor for me? Though the mountain be good, without You it is no mountain but instead is an obstacle. Lord, though I prosper, without You there is no abundance. Keep me ever in the hollow of Your hand. Help me to hold fast to Your unwavering love and cause me to find peace only in Your midst. For that indeed is true joy!
