Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Proverbs 30:5
Father, I thank You today for Your unfailing Word. Many have made promises to me that they have not fully kept. And some have made them and have tried to keep them but have fallen short. Yet there is nothing You have promised that has not come to pass in my life. You have been true to Your word. In You I can depend!
Today I know that I shall be confronted with a lot of challenges. Even now I bow before You tired and weary of the fight. Yet, You have said that they that wait on You shall renew their strength. You have reminded me that the battle is not mine, and that in You I am more than just a conqueror! So as I lift my head and rise up to confront all that comes at me today I do so holding fast to You, knowing that You have my back!
I ask today for the spiritual stamina to stay the course. Cover me, Lord, that I might not be exposed and vulnerable. Be my shield and rear guard today, keeping me safe in the midst of the ambushes coming my way. As I do battle continue to remind me that I am not in this alone. You are by my side, holding me up and equipping me to overcome. Thank You for the refuge and safe harbor that I have in You. Grant me Your peace in the midst of the mayhem to Your glory in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
