For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.

Father God, I rejoice and celebrate the amazement of Your grace! As I reflect on the true tendencies of my flesh – how it is in my sin nature to not submit to authority, make my own rules, believing I have all the answer, that I am my own master living autonomously from You and others, self-absorbed into getting my way – and how now, because of something miraculous that You have performed in my heart, I want instead to submit to You and follow Your revealed will, knowing only You have the answers, thus yielding to You by serving others, wanting for Your will to be done in my life, I cannot help but praise You and magnify You for Your amazing grace! Whereas sin drug me down into being consumed by myself and my agenda, grace has lifted me up to a higher calling in You! Whereas sin had me bound, grace has set me free! Hallelujah!
Today, as I walk in the newness of life that is mine, washed, sanctified for service, and justified in the Name of my Lord Jesus Christ, empower me to glorify You in all I say and do. I purpose today to dismantle my “little kingdoms” that I might instead work to build Your glorious Kingdom here on Earth. My ears are open to hear from You, my heart receptive for Your touch. Move me where You will, however You will. Show me what You want me to do, and I will do it. I am Yours, LORD. Be glorified in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
