We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
Romans 15:1
Lord, I thank You for the grace You have poured into my life, growing me everyday in my walk with You. I thank You that each day I am becoming stronger in my faith and trust in You, realizing the huge impact that Your care has had not only on my development, but also on my understanding of what it means to be a child of God. In Christ, I am no longer bound by the list of do’s and don’ts of religiosity, but instead have been set free, compelled by my love for You to demonstrate that same love to others. I also realize that to whom much is given, much is required. Help me today to keep my priorities straight as it pertains to others, sacrificially pouring my life into the lives of those whom You bring into my sphere of influence. Help me to overcome my selfish tendencies to place me first – my wants, desires, and ambitions – before the needs of others. I purpose today to have the mind of Christ: considering the plights of others greater than my own, sacrificing all that I am that I might win some. Use me, Lord, that I might be not just a willing vessel, but more so an effective ambassador of the love that was manifested in me by His precious sacrifice. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
