And while he was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he was reclining at table, a woman came with an alabaster flask of ointment of pure nard, very costly, and she broke the flask and poured it over his head.
Mark 14:3
Lord Jesus, I love and worship You this day! My soul finds its joy and peace in You, knowing that I am no longer my own, but Yours! I am grateful for the grace that is mine, humbled that You would come and draw me to You, an outcast. And this, not only into Your presence, but also into Your family! As the world and my sins pronounce me unclean, You have opted to come and sup with me, without judgement and without pretense. You have accepted me just as I am, not requiring me to change one bit, but instead inviting me on the journey of love that You have charted out for me in my glorious transformation. Lord, in response I fall at Your feet, and even as that unnamed woman poured out costly oils upon Your head in a show of love and reverence, I pour my heart out to You this day, sacrificing all I do to Your glory. I am indeed unworthy of what You have done for me! Yet, that You might not only please the Father but also welcome into Your family those the Father has created for this moment, You gave Yourself for us, enduring rejection, heartache and anguish on our behalf. You saw me in the future and loved me even as I was! Oh, what a sacrifice! Today, I worship You, raising up Your Name and exalting You before this world. Master, I love You and give myself to You, afresh and anew this day. It is my only aim to please You. Thank You for Your indescribable love! Amen!
