Let this be recorded for a generation to come, so that a people yet to be created may praise the LORD: that he looked down from his holy height; from heaven the LORD looked at the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners, to set free those who were doomed to die, that they may declare in Zion the name of the LORD, and in Jerusalem his praise, when peoples gather together, and kingdoms, to worship the LORD.
Psalm 102:18-22
LORD, this morning I rejoice because I am the manifestation of this prophesy! I am proof that You are true to Your Word! When the psalmist penned these words, little did he know that I and all who lift up the Name of Jesus would be the evidence of You working out Your blessed redemption of mankind! You looked over Heaven’s bannister and had pity on Your creation, and in sending Your Son, not only demonstrated that You heard the groans of a world bound and imprisoned by sin, but went a step further and set us free from its shackles, removing the stains of our guilt, and giving us eternal life! This day, my voice joins in with all those who have come before me and those who shall follow in lifting up Your Holy and Righteous Name! I praise You for the salvation that is mine, a salvation that I do not deserve! Even more, I exalt You for the blessed gift of calling me Your child! Indeed, You have adopted me and given me a new name. I now call You, “Daddy!” How can this be? How is it that I, who even now continues to walk in a brokenness I cannot of myself overcome, should be called a child of God? Oh, how my soul rejoices this day! Thank You for Your unfailing, unmerited, and unwavering love for me! Thank You for healing me. Thank You for taking care of me. Thank You for all You have done for me! I worship You! Thank You for what You have done for me in Jesus! Amen!
