LORD, as I move into the activities of this day and am confronted with its challenges, remind me that I own the effort; You own the results. So often I believe that I can bring about the desired outcomes in life’s circumstances by my plans and how much I put into getting things done. There is within me these thoughts that if I try a little harder, plan a little more thoroughly, or convince a few more people that I will be able to accomplish all that I set out to do. And though You do require that I am committed and faithful to the task at hand, that I give my best, I must remember that in the end it is You Who owns how things will turn out. It is according to Your hidden will that history unfolds. You own all the consequences. So today, as I engage in life’s “going ons”, I pray that You would enable me to be faithful with my part, keeping Your revealed will for my life in the forefront of my mind. Help me to continue to press to be a blessing to those You have placed in my path, looking to do what’s best in all my actions to Your glory. As I focus my efforts on glorifying You, I pray that You would do what seems good to You with the efforts I lay before You. Give me a heart to accept the outcomes from Your hands knowing that it will all work together for my good. I trust You LORD. Be glorified in Jesus’ Name.
