Lord Jesus, I thank You today for Your precious sacrifice on my behalf and all the world. Your awesome demonstration of love transcends any act done on my behalf, revealing just how much You love me in spite of me. Because of this love I am not only eternally indebted to You, but willingly surrender today and everyday my whole life to You. That which I do I do to glorify You. I realize that which I do that even comes across as good is because You are doing something marvelous within me. I don’t live for myself. I live for You!
Give me eyes to see others as You see them. Don’t allow me to be caught up with the outward appearances, the phony façades and the fake strengths that they may put forth. Don’t allow me to be distracted by how they come across to me or even how they treat me. Instead, help me to see their true inner self, their hopes and dreams, their hurts and fears. And use me to show them the glorious promise and provision that they have in You, knowing that in You they have been reconciled to the Father, brought into one glorious family, destined to eternal joy, peace and happiness in the family of God! Use me as a vessel of reconciliation, and through me reveal to all who I come across the awesome potential that You have for them in You. I pray this in Your Name. Amen.
