Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God. For I bear him witness that he has worked hard for you and for those in Laodicea and in Hierapolis.
Colossians 4:12-13
Father God, I pray today that You would continue to grow me in my walk with You, giving me an ever increasing maturity day-by-day in You, enabling me to not only walk by faith, but to hold fast to the promises You have made to me concerning Your will for my life. Help me today to do the hard work of following after You, resisting the desires of my flesh and clinging to the hope that is mine in Christ Jesus, knowing that my labors are indeed not in vain but will reap for me a harvest of righteousness if I do not faint or grow weary. Remind me of the temporary nature of this world, that its hardships and difficulties are but for a season. Keep ever before me the truth of Christ’s power over the elements of this world and His ownership of me, His servant, called by Him to perform works that will bring Him glory. It is my prayer that You would infuse me with a Holy Spirit inspired tenacity to stay the course, not wavering, established on the solid Rock that is Jesus Christ, secured in the knowledge of who I am and Whose I am. Help me to be a witness to His lordship over all of creation, bearing with this system of things for but a season, pointing all who have placed their trust in Him to the hope of glory. I look to You today to be not only my source of encouragement but also the foundation of my faith. Be ever wonderful in my eyes! To You I give all the glory and the honor in Jesus’ Name! Amen!
