I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations.

Psalm 57:9 (ESV)

Lord Jesus, it is so easy for me to be so caught up in what is going on around me, the stuff I am going through, how “life be life’in” that I forget how You never fail me, abandon me, or leave me to my own devices. Yes, I know I often feel alone while I’m going through. But I have learned that my feelings deceive me. Just because I don’t see it doesn’t mean it is not there. I don’t see air but my body knows it is here. The same is so very true concerning You.

So today, I give You thanks. Thank You for all You have done for me, how You have kept me, protected me, provided for me, loved me. Lord, the list goes on and on and on. Everything that is good in my life is on account of You.

Even as David in this psalm commiserated about what he was going through, I often do the same. Yet, when I weigh it all in the balance – the trials and tribulations versus the blessings and favor – the results are always the same: my blessings far outweigh my hardships! You have been so very good to me!

Lord, my overflow comes because You have granted me access to Your bottomless well of blessings. I can go through life in peace and comfort because You have placed a hedge of protection around me, only allowing what YOU desire to come into my inner sanctum. Words cannot begin to express the joy, peace, and gratitude that I have!

So today I sing praises to You. I lift up Your glorious and righteous Name! Thank You for all You have done for me! Amen!
