Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Colossians 3:12-13
LORD God, because of what You have done for me, how You have changed me, and paved my life with Your divine favor, I choose to separate myself from this world and its passions, and to love others even as You have loved me. For those struggling and suffering, show me how I can demonstrate godly compassion for their condition. For those lost and afraid give me opportunities to pour out kindness and demonstrate a loving heart that is long suffering. For those who wrong me and hurt me, I choose to forgive them, regardless of the depth of the pain, knowing that You forgave me of so much. LORD, Christlikeness is my aim. I want to demonstrate Your love in a tangible way and I realize that this is how the world knows that I am a child of God. Use me LORD to lift up the Name of Jesus to Your glory. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
