This morning, LORD, my soul worships and exalts You! Though my world is full of turmoil, both politically and socially, my spirit is at peace for I know in Whom I trust!
I have seen Your hand at work in my life, opening up to me the windows of Your love, and pouring out upon me Your abundance of peace. It is You that upholds me, keeping me from faltering, strengthening me when to human senses all hope seems to be lost. You have delivered me in the past, and as I go through in the present, You have been my Savior! The challenges of life are not match for You because YOU are God, and besides You there is no other!
I live in a world that trusts in man, believing that their lives hang in the balance at the whims of elected and military officials. But I know better! I know that You alone control my future. You supply all of my needs. You cause the sun to rise and the winds to blow. You give victory and ordain defeat. You are sovereign over all creation, and all who trust in YOU shall renew their strength!
Today, I heed to Your call. I beckon my soul to be still, knowing You are God (Psalm 46:10), standing fast and beholding Your sure deliverance (Exodus 14:13-14). This day, I choose to worship You and glorify You despite what the world clamors over. I choose to trust in Your unfolding plan for my life, the lives of those whom I love, and this nation that I live in. You have promised that things will work together for our good (Romans 8:28). You are God. And I am a living witness to Your goodness. Have Your way, this day, to Your glory in Jesus’ Name! Amen!
