And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus.

Lord Jesus, as I attempt to accomplish Your will this day, I confess there will be situations and circumstances where I will not only doubt myself, but also doubt whether it is You calling me to step out by faith. Many of the decisions that are and will be before me will require sacrifice, in some cases putting things and accomplishments that are precious to me on the line. Yet, this morning all I need from You is for You to beckon me to come and I will. I know that if You are in it that I cannot help but succeed. If Your fingerprints are all over it I will accomplish what You have ordained that I shall. The loss that I may experience will be by far outweighed by the gain that I shall ascertain. So today, my soul says, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You.” And I will. Speak, LORD, for Your servant is listening. Be glorified in me and through me. My life is in Your hands. Amen.
