Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.
Habakkuk 1:5 (ESV)
Father God, my soul rejoices because You are the God Who exceeds expectations! Even now, as I look to engage with this day, I have no idea what will transpire or will come my way. What I do know is that You will be with me throughout, and that You will most assuredly demonstrate Your presence in my life in some way that I would not have expected. This not only fills me with joy, but fuels my faith and hope in You! Hallelujah!
It is my prayer that You would help me not to settle for “little” when I serve a God Who controls the “great.” I’m not talking about material, worldly things, although those items immediately at first come to mind. No. I want to experience great as it pertains to the things of Your Kingdom. I want to see You use me and circumstances to save souls, turn the hearts of leaders, provide miracle relief for those in distress, raise up ministries that exalt the Name of Jesus, and glorify Your Name. I want to see miracles manifested in the lives of others, Your Word proclaimed where it was previously banned, and nations call upon the Name of the LORD.
Today I sit on the proverbial edge of my heart’s seat, waiting in wondrous anticipation on what You will do next to shine the spotlight on Your Son, my Savior, Jesus, and His finished work. Blow my mind Father! Shine Your glory all around me. Give me a foretaste of what it will be like when I am forever physically in Your presence. As the young folks, “Do You!” And I will give You all the praise and the glory, both now and forever! Amen!
