We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, because of the hope laid up for you in heaven.
Colossians 1:3-5a
Father God, I thank You for those You have brought into my life, whose lives reflect a commitment to You and Your Word. My soul finds joy in seeing Your fingerprints on them, continually working in them and through them, using them to bring others into a saving knowledge of You. Your masterful work within them, moving them into heartfelt service, pointing them towards things eternal, reminds me of the greater calling You have placed on all of our lives. Through them You reinforce my hope in things to come, both here and in heaven. Use me today to be that signpost to someone, pointing them in the direction of peace. Through me open up to them the floodgates of heaven, pouring out to them eternal provision through Christ, that their hunger and thirst for righteousness might be quenched. Fill me that I might pour my life out into others in order to bring You glory. You are the Potter. I am Your clay. Mold me as You see fit that my service might point others to You. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
