You have already heard about this hope in the word of truth, the gospel that has come to you. It is bearing fruit and growing all over the world, just as it has among you since the day you heard it and came to truly appreciate God’s grace. You learned this from Epaphras, our dearly loved fellow servant.
Colossians 1:5b-7a (CSV)
LORD, I pray that even as You are using the works of others to bear fruit in the lives of those whom they come into contact with that You would do the same for me. Use me, LORD, both the words from my mouth and the actions that I engage in, to show someone that You are at work in their life. I pray that You would open my eyes to those around me who are in need of a Word from You, and provide me what I should say in the moment in order that I might point them toward You. I pray that You would move on my spirit in the moment to act on behalf of You in the life of someone, transforming my fingerprints to Yours in order that they might see You in me and glorify You for what You are doing for them. Father, Your Word is bearing fruit all around me. Use me today to sow seeds into the lives of some, water the lives of others, and harvest the lives of still others. You are the Master Gardner. You provide the increase. Use me to Your glory in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
