No one devoted, who is to be devoted for destruction from mankind, shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.

Leviticus 27:29

Father God, my soul rejoices and finds great comfort in seeing and knowing the unfolding of Your glorious plan for my salvation from the beginning of time. That You not only knew but also made provision for my redemption, even before I was formed in my mother’s womb, gives me this great comfort as I navigate through what might come my way. I shall make mistakes and miss Your direction throughout this day. I will falter along the way. However, He Who was devoted to You for my sins to make a ransom for me was surely put to death on my behalf in my place, and rose for my justification to sit at Your right hand. He knew no sin but instead took upon Himself mine and that of the world in order that we could be clothed in His righteousness. Oh what a blessed sacrifice!

Today help me to walk blamelessly before You, serving You with every fabric of my being. Continue to cleanse me of all selfishness and wickedness, clothing me in His righteousness that I might reflect His person in all I say and do. As I let His mind be in me, show me how I can sacrifice for others with the selfsame sacrifice that He had for me. Show me His way that I might follow in His footsteps as a devoted one, dead to sin but alive in Him. Then I shall know that I am pleasing in Your sight. Be glorified in Jesus’ Name!
