Lord Jesus, so often I can get so caught up in what’s going on right now that I miss that You are in my midst doing something miraculous. The commotion of dealing with the here and now can drown out the fact that I am focusing on the wrong thing, drawing the wrong conclusions regarding my circumstances, or engaging inactivities that will not bring about Your desired end. It is in those situations that I need for You to check me and my assumptions, reminding me that that things are not necessarily the way that I envision them, but that there is a divine perspective that You bring which sheds light on what’s going on around me. You speak life into all that I do. So today, I look to You to open my eyes to how You are moving in my midst. Help me to get out of the way, putting aside my narrow perspective, and enable me to respond to You and what You are doing in faith. My human tendency is not to believe, especially in circumstances where what You are doing does not make sense. Today I purpose to trust You LORD. Have Your way. I pray this in Your Name. Amen.
