For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.
2 Corinthians 8:9 (ESV)
Lord Jesus, on this glorious morning my mind is focused and transfixed on the reality of Your grace. You were rich, clothed in righteousness and glory, but became poor and lowly that I might, in Your poverty, become rich. Who would do such a thing for somebody like me? Before I knew You I did what was right in my own eyes. Even now, there are times when I stumble back into my old ways. Yet, as Your Word declares, You give more grace (James 4:6)! Your love is beyond my comprehension! And this is all part of Your glorious plan of salvation for me and all who call upon Your Name! “Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways (Romans 11:33) !”
Today, I worship You, Master, and praise Your Holy and Righteous Name! I thank You for Your amazing grace that is mine through Your precious sacrifice. As I go throughout this day, use me as a vessel of mercy, demonstrating Your love in a tangible way to all who You bring across my path. Even as You spread the love of the Father everywhere You went, enable me to do the same. Lord, I want to take part in “grace exchanges” with all whom I come into contact with today, pouring into their lives even as they pour into mine. Use me, LORD. Have Your way with me this day and everyday. I worship You and praise You! Thank You for causing my cup to truly overflow! Amen!
