Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!

Psalm 143:10 (ESV)

Lord Jesus, thank You for raising me up this morning and placing before me a new day filled with challenges and opportunities. My heart is encouraged, though I know that this day will be filled with obstacles and barriers as the enemy attempts to minimize my Kingdom effectiveness. Yet, Your Word is true: greater is He Who is within me than he who is within this world (1 John 4:4). I come before You, an empty cistern, longing to be filled by Your Spirit that I might, this day, live to You and not myself (Galatians 2:20).

Prepare me, Lord, for the challenges that will come my way. Place within me both the will and the power to accomplish Your will in all things (Philippians 2:13). Continue to transform my mind, how I see things, that I might have the same mind as You, in humility serving others, even to the point of laying down my life for Your Kingdom (Philippians 2:5-8). And in my fellowship with those who know You and love You, give us the opportunity to have a grace exchange, pouring our lives into each other, mutually encouraging one another in our faith, that we might continue steadfast hand-in-hand on this love journey of pleasing You (Romans 1:11-12).

Lord, I thank You today for the new life that is mine in You (2 Corinthians 5:17). I thank You that I am indeed not my own but have been bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Your love for me was so great that You laid down Your life for me (John 15:13). How can I repay You for all You have done for me (Psalm 116:12)? Because of Your steadfast love for me, I will serve You all the rest of my life, even into eternity. Thank You, Lord Jesus! Amen.
