Lord Jesus, on this morning my eyes and heart look to You, knowing where my strength comes from. Before me is a full day filled with challenges and opportunities. As You know, my mind goes to challenges first because I so often am a “glass half empty” person, seeing the bad before I spy out the good. Yet, today I am reminded that You have gone before me. You have made a way before I have even taken a step. You have supplied everything I need to overcome. You are my all-in-all plus nothing!
So, I declare my trust in You and my heart pours out rivers of gratitude for what You have done in me and through me. This day I am certain that I shall overcome, that nothing will stop me from accomplishing Your will and purposes for me. Because of this, I look forward to what is before me, knowing not just that I will be victorious – which in and of itself is good – but that I will do so with You! You will be with me all along the way. You will keep and comfort me. You will watch over me. You will hide me in the shadow of Your love. That’s something to shout about!
So, I praise You, Lord Jesus, thanking You for the love You showed me through Your sacrifice, and the promise You have made to me that You will return for me. I thank You for causing my cup to overflow with Your love. Thank You for Your care for me. Thank You for seeing me in my broken state and having pity on me, nursing my wounds, and making me whole in You. I love You so much. I worship You this morning my Lord and King. And I look with glorious anticipation upon Your return. Thank You! Amen!
