Lord Jesus, as I start this work week I pray that You would guide my steps. Enable me to walk in integrity, deal justly with all, be no respecter of persons, and love unconditionally. I pray for a heart that sees past others’ behaviors and treatment of me and sees Your greater purpose for their lives and my interaction with them. Lord, I don’t want my engagement with them to be about me, but instead about them and how I can be a tool, used by You, to bring them into a closer walk with You and fulfill their purpose in life.
Lord, I believe integrity is about being true to who I am. Before I knew You it was all about me. But since You came into my life it is all about You. You have made me a new person, filled me with Your Spirit, and set me on a path where You have purposed to use me to not only bring others to You, but to use me as a vessel to make this small portion of the world I live in better. And I have found that when I am walking in step with You that might life is better, my way clearer, and my burden lighter. Therefore, by whatever means You deem necessary, please keep me on that straight and glorious path!
I yield my spirit to You afresh today. Hold my hand, Lord, and lead me. My heart is set to follow You. Speak in me and through me. Shine Your light on the dark places of my heart and open my eyes to the changes You purpose to make to them. Enable me to be a person of my word, walking by faith, and trusting in You. I purpose for my yes’ to be “yes” and my no’s “no.” Help me to be predictable in a godly way, not just by behavior but by heart. Then You will be glorified by my living. Amen.
