The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart.

Father God I really feel good when I am following after and doing what Your Word declares. Something inside me bubbles over with joy when I know not only what You require but also live it out in my actions. When my soul is in harmony with Your Word I cannot help but rejoice and celebrate. Because it is in those moments that I know that I am pleasing You and being who You created me to be. And there is no greater pleasure on this side of eternity!
Help me, Father, to walk in that reality more and more today. It is my heart’s deepest desire to make You smile. I want to know more of Your expectations. I want to understand more fully of what Your require of me. I want to get beyond the surface stuff and get to the essence, the true essence of what it means to be a child of God. And I can only grasp that if I dive into Your Word. That is my desire. And that is my greatest source of joy.
And so today, speak to me through Your Word. Show me that which is right and pleasing to You, the way that I should go, and how I should show up to the world and serve. As I order my steps in Your Word, lead me and guide me along the way. Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light. In You I find life’s greatest joy. So today, worship You and celebrate all You have done and declared! Thank You for speaking to me daily through Your Word! Amen!
