I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 (NIV)

Lord, on this last Friday of the month, my soul cries out, “Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me!” I thank and praise You this morning for the glorious washing that You have performed on me, cleansing me from my unrighteousness and removing from me all that does not please You. I thank You for transforming my heart of stone into a heart of flesh, enabling me to not only know You but compelling me to follow after Your holy ways. Thank You for giving me a new spirit, quickening me and infusing me with new life, a spirit infused with Your Holy Spirit, one that discerns right from wrong, holiness from wickedness, selflessness from selfishness. Thank You for making me a new creation, the old things passed away and all things becoming brand new. My heart is set. My mind is made up. I am completely Yours! Glory hallelujah! I praise Your Holy Name!

As I march into this weekend of rest I pray for a fresh washing. Continue Your glorious cleansing of my heart, mind, soul, spirit; purge me of all that prevents me from coming into Your presence with boldness and confidence. Continue to remind me of Your finished work on my behalf, the weight of not only my sins but the sins of the world that was placed upon Your shoulders. Remove from me the guilt and shame that I carry and replace it with humility and gratitude. Continue to tenderize my heart, like a master chef tenderizing choice meat. I recognize that at times it will be painful, with You, like that chef, having to often strike it to break it down and soften it. However, in the end it will be beautiful and succulent, a sight to behold, presented at that glorious banquet at the end of days, lauded over by all who will see Your marvelous handiwork in my life.

Lord, You are the potter. I am the clay. Have Your wonderful way in my life this day. I love You and I worship You. I am completely Yours! Amen!
