To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again.
Isaiah 54:9 (NIV)
Father God, I glorify and praise Your Name this day for the awesome reality that You will never again be angry with me! Though I often falter, You have promised that You will never again cast me out nor reject me. And this is not a condition that is mine based upon my merit or deeds. It is mine through the sacrifice of my Savior! He did what I could not do. He lived as I could not live. And He shouldered what I could not carry. Even as Isaiah earlier declared, He was wounded for my transgressions, He was bruised for my iniquities; the chastisement for my peace was upon Him, and by His stripes I am healed! Glory to the Name of Jesus! Through Him and by Him I have peace with You. And because of His love and Your love for me, I shall never ever be cast out of Your presence ever again!
So today I purpose to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, living this day not as one who does not know You but instead as one bought with a price. With deep gratitude I receive light and momentary suffering as discipline, molding and shaping me into the person You have purposed me to be. My mind and spirit are open to Your instruction. Open my eyes to see and my heart to receive the guidance and direction that You send my way through people, circumstances, and the world around me. I embrace the reality that though the world around me be shaken, or in some cases removed, that Your love for me shall neither be shaken nor removed, that You have given me an eternal peace that transcends all understanding.
Thank You Father for drawing me near and making me part of Your glorious family. Thank You Jesus for loving me and paying the price I could not pay, and being that never leave me nor forsake me Brother. Thank You Holy Spirit for sealing me until that day and being the tie that binds me, enabling me to hold it together, and transforming me from the inside out. Amen.
