This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Father God, the start of a week is the start of many things. One of which is options. I know that over the course of this week I will be presented with many potential paths I can walk in, decisions I will have to make. Some will be easy. Others not so easy. Some will be obvious. Others not so clear. Yet, in the midst of all the back and forth on which way I should go, this I know for certain: no path will be totally and completely unique to me nor foreign to You. You have in days past led both me and my loved ones on similar journeys. The challenge will be for me to be attentive and listen for Your guidance.
I thank You for sending Christ Jesus, my Savior and King, Who not only paid the price for all my sins and the errors of my way, but Who also has showed me what is right. His earthly life is a living example of what a life dedicated and committed to You looks like. I thank You for the disciples and apostles who went before me, whose lives have been documented and have shown me what a redeemed life looks like. And I thank You for my believing family and friends, who have shown me what it looks like to fall down but also to get back up by the power of the Holy Spirit. All of these lives show me what daily sanctification looks like and what it means to serve You. And through Christ, I can.
Thank You, Father, for Your awesome provision. I stand at these crossroads and ask that You would continue to show me where the good way that I might walk in it. Don’t allow me to be so caught up in the emotions of the moment and consumed with how I feel that I miss Your guidance and direction. Instead continue to show Your child the glorious path that You led those who walked before me in peace that I might follow in their footsteps, walking hand-in-hand with my Savior to Your glory in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
