As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

Lord Jesus at the dawning of this new day I pray for faithfulness, consistency, and endurance. Enable me by the power of Your Holy Spirit to walk led and guided by Him, true to Your Word and true to my love for my God. Open my eyes to where my will does not align with Your will, and show me where I fall short in thought, word and deed. Transform my mind minute-by-minute to be less like me and more like You. Enable me to love like You did, live like You did, and sacrifice myself like You did. It is my chief aim to please You. It is my chief aim to please You to Your glory!
Give me unwavering feet, that my steps might be ordered by You. Help me not to waver to the right or to the left, but instead walk in the straight and narrow. Help me to be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Fuel my heart with regular words of encouragement, acts of kindness, and signs of love to share all day everyday with others. Enable me to be predictable towards all who know me, that they will know how I will respond, and trust that I will love unconditionally. I want them to read love in all I do.
And finally, help me to run this race with perseverance. When I feel like giving up, and You know that I often do, remind me that there awaits for me not just a crown, but a glorious, eternal encounter with You! Help me not to get weary in well doing nor to falter and not finish this race. Instead, guide and strengthen me each and every step of the way. Show me new glimmers everyday of the glory that awaits all who hold fast to Your promises. Continue to remind me that it is not about me. I want my life to glorify You. Then, I can say that I have, to the best of my ability, lived a life worthy of the calling I have received to the glory of God. Thank You for this calling You have placed on my life. Be pleased and glorified in Your servant. Amen.
