Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

Lord Jesus, Norman Hutchins’ song “Jesus I Love You” rings so in my mind and heart this morning. As I woke this morning my spirit just keeps singing the refrain, “Jesus, I love You, I love You. Jesus, I love You, I love You. Jesus, I love You, I love You, because You care.” I love You so much, am so grateful this day, and am blown away by Your love and care for me. Thank You for being Who You are for me, doing what You did for me, and loving me in spite of me.
Though the world and it’s temporal fancies do tempt me, when I but think of You and Your love, immediately I must confess that five minutes of basking in Your presence brings greater joy to my soul than five gazillion hours of prancing in this worlds treasures! Lord, there is nothing on this side of eternity that I want more than to just be with You! Though I love those whom You have blessed my life with and want nothing more than to spend time with them, the joy I get with them does not compare to the joy I get with You. That is why I so desperately want them to know You so that they too can experience what I experience in these quiet moments with You, knowing that I am loved and loving back my Savior and Creator!
Because of Your great and unsurpassable love for me my heart is set, my mind is made up. I want to please You today and everyday. Forget about what compels me and drives me in this world. It all means nothing compared to knowing You and putting a smile on Your face. So today show me how I can make this day an extra special “Please Jesus Day.” I want to do something, say something to someone, sacrifice something for the kingdom, give something that will glorify You, please You, and demonstrate my love and commitment for You. My life is Yours. “You are for me, my everything, that is why I sing: Jesus, I love You. Because You care. I couldn’t imagine, if You weren’t there.” I praise You and worship You! I exalt Your Holy Name! I so love You! Amen.
