When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad.
Psalm 126:1-3 (ESV)
Lord Jesus, my soul praises and worships You this morning for You have indeed done great things for me! When I reflect upon where I have been, what I have come through, how I have endured hardships and difficulties – many of my own making – and how You have delivered me, I cannot help but praise Your glorious and wonderful Name! Lord, I can’t believe it. My mind says, “Pinch me; I must be dreaming,” because it is almost like I am in a dream state. I don’t deserve what You’ve done; You’ve been so good to me!
Lord, You have done great things for me. And not me only but for all of those who are in my circle of trust and near and dear to me. You have blessed our going out and coming in. All that the enemy attempted to tear down You have built up. You have transformed our longings to laughter, the jeers of our enemies to joy, and our pain to praise. Who is like You?
I thank You for all You have done, all You are doing, and all You shall do. I dedicate this day, this week, this year, and this life to You. Use me as You see fit. Continue to blow my mind with Your wonders. Fill my mouth with laughter and my tongue with shouts of joy, as I exclaim, “The LORD has done great things for me!” I praise You, my King! Amen!
